French Ambassador visits ICUA Zadar

This morning, a visit to the Zadar center was given by French Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia, His Excellency Philippe Meunier with his wife and associates from the embassy. The inspiration for this visit was the multi-year collaboration of experts in the field of underwater archeology and conservation and restoration that ICUA Zadar developed with a number of French experts from Arles, Grenoble and Aix en Provence. After getting acquainted with the staff and work area of the Zadar center, the distinguished guests were introduced to the rich submerged heritage collection from the Croatian Adriatic, which is exhibited in the Underwater Archeology Gallery of the ICUA Zadar and the future exhibition space, the church of Sv. Nicholas. The Ambassador expressed the great desire for cooperation in the field of underwater archeology between these two countries to continue and raise to an even greater level, including the arrival of French students to practice at the Zadar Center.
