The membership of the ICUA in the UNESCO UNITWIN Network for Underwater Archeology

The 6th meeting of the UNESCO UNITWIN Network for Underwater Archeology was held from 25 to 26 April 2018 at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, organized in partnership between UNESCO and Flinders University from Australia. The International Center for Underwater Archeology in Zadar was granted the status of "Recognized Partner" of the UNESCO UNITWIN Underwater Archeology Network thus becoming the 35th member of the UNESCO educational institutions in the field of underwater archeology. The UNESCO UNITWIN International Network for Underwater Archaeology was created to build and reinforce capacities through international cooperation and mobility. The Network also aims to enhance the protection and research of the underwater cultural heritage by creating links between universities and professional training institutions working in the field of underwater archaeology, as well as to act as a bridge between the academic world, industry, government and the public.
